Background

To improve construction quality and promote environment-friendly designs, the Prefabrication Technolgy Centre of Housing Development Board Singapore (HDB-PTC) has developed SE CAD system to streamline the analysis, design and draughting processes of housing projects in Singapore.

The system has been fully tested and proven to be the unique and reliable automated design solution for multi-story conventional in-situ, prefabricated and precast reinforced concrete building structures.

Main features of SE CAD

• user-friendly graphical input interface
• automated design and detailing of structural members
• integrated CAD system for drawing modification, no third-party software required
• finite-element-based structural analysis engine that accounts for 3D lateral effects on structures
• all design details fully comply with conventional cast-in-situ, prefabricated and/or precast components design and detailing requirements of CP65 and HDB

SE CAD is developed jointly by Prefabrication Technology Center of Housing Development Board of Singapore (HDB-PTC) and China Academy of Building Research.
